Marseille

In June 2015, the Goethe Institut Paris/Marseille and La Friche La Belle de Mai invited SMC Berlin to be part of 48h Chrono Berlin.

First there was a power cut across the whole of Marseille
Electricity fled into the sky as lightning
The entire atmosphere was charged
300 people gathered together
SMC went unplugged
Then the fascinating process of reciprocal exchange began
The energy exchanged between performer and audience
An electricity that could power a city like Marseille

After a while the power came back on
Music and the lights!
Magic!
People shared energy back and forth
Letting this power shine and flow
Back and forth in feedback loops
It filled the whole room, went through the roof
And sent it back out to the city of Marseille!!!
